I chose Overtone to prolong my time between salon visits. I picked expresso because I thought expresso was cooler than the chocolate brown. The application was a lot messier than I anticipated. The results were a dark cool brown just like an expresso. My hair was left quite soft and shiny. I want to give the chocolate brown a try and see if it is that medium depth I want.

I was a little aprehensive at first. I had done a ton of research after I had already bought the product from CVS And I had heard that espresso brown was incredibly staining. The shower, skin, sinks. I was definitely nervous went I decided to go for it and I was surprised to find out that nothing stained! I think the reviews i read just either had very porous bathrooms or they just weren't very careful/cleaned up promptly after. Even then, I got it all over my hands, neck, brush and stains Didint last more than a day! Exept on my brush, my poor pink brush is yellow now but i honestly expected that. Either way it's a great product! I've been wanting to dye my hair a chocolatey brown for awhile and it's only been a few days but I think this was a great option! And! My hair feels amazing! We’ll see how long it lasts, because I heard this brand has a tendency to stick, but so far I love it and I would highly recommend this brand for its brown! The only issue I had with this product is just how thick it was, it felt like smearing toothpaste in my hair and smelled like it too, it's incredibly minty and frankly doesn't smell the best in my opinion
