HOW-TO: Root Touch-Up At Home Using The Bleach & Extreme Magenta
Who says you need to make an appointment at the salon to tackle grown-out roots? When it comes to DIY hair coloring with oVertone, a root touch-up at home is one of the easiest to do. No, seriously. All you need is your choice of Coloring Conditioner, a steady hand, and 15 minutes or less to get the shade of your dreams. But what if you lightened your hair and your dark roots are coming in? Don’t fret! Pick up our new product, The Bleach 30 Volume Hair Lightening System, to get your roots where you want them.
In this week's color tutorial, watch @ranvier.villamil elevate their not-so-cute roots to gorgeous proportions using The Bleach 30 Volume Hair Lightening System to achieve the perfect base color before adding a pop of color with Extreme Magenta.
BLEACH IT
STEP 01: Start with clean, dry hair. Brush out knots and tangles for seamless application.
STEP 02: Wearing gloves, add The Bleach powder (1 part) and developer (2 parts) to the mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly.
STEP 03: Section hair. @ranvier.villamil clipped the pieces of hair framing the face back to get a sleek, clean part for bleach and color application.
STEP 04: Using gloves, apply The Bleach to your roots. Thoroughly saturate your strands to ensure complete coverage and even lightening.
STEP 05: Wait a maximum of 40 minutes (we suggest a shorter time frame for roots). Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm or cool water.

COLOR IT
STEP 06: Let hair completely dry. Then, apply Extreme Magenta Coloring Conditioner over your freshly bleached roots.
STEP 07: Wait 10-15 minutes for the color to saturate your strands.
STEP 08: Rinse, dry, and show it off!
PRO TIP
For even color coverage, add a jolt of pigment by using the remaining Coloring Conditioner to color the rest of your hair. Make sure to thoroughly saturate your strands from root to tip for the best color results.
