Love it!!

I have been dying my hair since I was 16 years old and was looking for something to help me grow out my natural hair color. My roots are pretty white/silver and my ends are black. I bought this to help and it looks really cool. They roots are a very dark purple and the ends are black. If you are looking to cover your silver hair up with black this will work as long as you don’t mind seeing a lot of purple come through. I haven’t dyed my hair in two months and now his product makes my hair super soft.

Nice product

I love how easy and moisturizing this is. However, I bought it to replace my beloved Aveda Black Malva conditioner. I wish there was a shade similar to that. The rich black is too purple and the brunette is too golden for my liking so I’m not sure I would repurchase.

Great for hiding the fact you dyed you hair from parents!

So I've used multiple products from oVertone over the past 6 months, and I've never been more satisfied with a hair coloring product. I've done pink, purple, and blue already, but I'm about go neon green with a vibrant green and neon yellow mix. This Rich Black conditioner is perfect to conceal past color and go back to my naturally black hair; however, it is runny. When I've had to dry my hair with some white and light blue towels, some of the black color from my wet hair transfers over. So if you buy this, beware of the color staining your clothes *after* washing your hair out. Make sure the water is clear, but then be wary of losing color too fast. I recommend not keeping your hair under running water for too long. Other than that, it's phenomenal.

More like a dark brown

I really like this conditioner– especially how it doesn't use toxic chemicals. I've used it a few times and I can't seem to achieve the rich black color that it advertises. It definitely made my hair darker (a medium brown to a dark brown), but it doesn't seem to go darker than that. Overall, I think it's a great replacement for regular salon color. It's way cheaper and easier.

Warnings: use gloves and don't sleep with a white pillow case right after using it if your hair is still wet!
