Vegan, Leaping Bunny and PETA certified, Overtone Indigo Iris Color Depositing Treatment Mask is a deep, dimensional blue-violet treatment designed for those who want bold, multi-tonal color, hydration, and luminous shine without damage. Ideal for blonde, pre-lightened, or lighter brown hair, it delivers a rich indigo hue with violet undertones that lasts about 2–3 weeks or up to 10 washes, then fades gradually and evenly.
This semi-permanent, deposit-only formula creates saturated, jewel-toned color on lighter bases and a more muted, cool-toned tint on darker hair. For the boldest, most vibrant indigo results, you will need to bleach (pre-lighten) hair prior to applying. On blonde or pre-lightened hair, Indigo Iris appears as a deep indigo with a blend of blue and violet tones for a dimensional, color-shifting finish. On light to medium brown hair, it creates a darker, more subdued blue-violet overlay. On darker hair, it enhances shine with a subtle cool-toned reflect rather than a dramatic color transformation.

With all that’s going on the world I was like fine, why not just dye my hair blue. I was fully expecting a visible blue but to my happy and more subtle surprise the Indigo Iris color cools my dark brown base and makes the white and grey more shiny and sort of richer in tone and depth??? It’s amazing. Side bonus: the conditioner has majorly calmed down the frizziness that had come along with grey hair.

When I did the blue, I mixed it with another color to tone it down a bit. And my hair was more of a smoky blue. And I used the conditioner, thinking it was just going to give a little bit of color. Well wow. I was VERY blue. But I have gray hair beneath so it sucked up the color. Use a drop of the conditioner. It goes a long way.
