While I love the other browns because of how they make my hair feel, I've never been a fan of the red undertones and all of them. I used to try to dilute that with some of the black, but that has too much purple in it. So I never could get the right shade to work for me. Until now! Mushroom Brown is absolutely perfect, especially when my grays are starting to grow out and I don't really want to use a permanent dye. I know I will need to leave this on longer on those parts of my hair to get a richer result, but the way it seamlessly blended my grays in with the rest of my dark brown hair was just beautiful! Everything looks so natural, and I couldn't be happier. Please never stop making this color!

i have mousy brown hair naturally that is nearly impossible to replicate with hair dye. i have a few highlights/ balayage im trying to grow out and i have tried everything (including making my own custom blend of colors) to cover it but its always too red or too green. this is perfect FINALLY! it has a really nice neutral almost purple undertone and it doesn’t reflect green or red. it’s not so dark that it’s nearly black but i covers up all the warm caramel pieces i had in my hair.

Over the years it has been heading back to blond and white as silver hairs appear.I tried mushroom brown, left it on for 5 minutes and there it is, my old hair color! No brass tones!
