5-Wash Fade with Jannelle O’Shaughnessy
If you’re only looking for a short-term color fix, we’ve got you covered! We partnered with content creator Jannelle O’Shaughnessy (@jannelleoshaughnessy) to showcase oVertone’s fading process on her natural brown and gray hair.
Round 1: The Gentle Fade
Back in March, Jannelle gave Rose Gold for Brown Hair a try, and decided to embrace the fade after a single application of oVertone Coloring Conditioner – gradually washing away her oVertone shade and transitioning back to her natural color in 10 gentle washes.
Watch the process:
Round 2: Fading Faster
This month, Jannelle transitioned from a Purple and Rose Gold ombre to her natural color even faster with help from The Fader Clarifying Shampoo.
See how she did it:
A Final Note on Fading
We want to note that for both these hair-fading trials, Jannelle used a single application of oVertone Coloring Conditioner on natural, unprocessed brown and gray hair, and both these factors contributed to the speed of her fade! I’ve you’ve treated your hair with oVertone multiple times or colored pre-lightened/processed hair, removing the pigment (even with The Fader) may take more time. And because of the variation in strand structure, color and fading results on natural gray hair can be different from person to person.
