I used the daily conditioner alone, without the deep conditioner to color my hair because I didn't want a super intense color. I put it in dry hair and left it on for 10min before washing out. It came out a beautiful soft pink, but it was definitely pink. When I decided to let it fade and wash out, it faded very gracefully and consistently. It left the very tiny slightest hint of color that never came out that made my platinum look just sliiiightly brassy, not a big deal. When I went to get my bleach touched up at the salon and the stylist toned my hair to ashy blonde, the residual overtone definitely had an effect on the toner that was noticeable compared to my freshly bleached new growth. It just looked slightly more purple from the toner than the rest of my hair...but not like PURPLE...the ashy grey with a hint of something that looked like a purple undertone if that makes sense. It wasn't anything noticeable enough to anyone but me because I knew it was there. If anything, it just gave my hair extra dimension so it worked out nicely even. BUt if you have bleached hair, you don't HAVE to use the deep conditioner to get color, you can use the daily conditioner on dry hair and still get great color payoff.
