Leaping Bunny and PETA certified, Overtone Color Depositing Conditioner in Indigo Iris is a pigmented daily conditioner designed to refresh, enhance, and maintain deep blue-violet hair color while conditioning. It’s ideal for anyone who wants visible, salon-quality color at home without bleach or ammonia.

Indigo Iris delivers a rich, multidimensional blend of indigo blue and violet tones, perfect for adding depth, reviving faded color, and maintaining a bold, moody finish with a cool, inky sheen between salon visits or full dye sessions.

This is a non-damaging, deposit-only formula with no lightening agents, so it adds color on top of your existing shade rather than lifting it. Color typically lasts about 3–5 days and can be reapplied as often as you like for ongoing vibrancy, depth, and quick touch-ups.

Available in 35 shades—including Royal Plum, Cherry Chestnut, Ginger Glow, Vivid Violet, and Espresso Brown—it offers options ranging from subtle, natural-looking enhancement to bold, vivid tones. You can target faded or uneven areas or apply root to tip for an all-over color refresh.

The formula combines conditioning agents (cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, behentrimonium chloride, glycerin) with aloe barbadensis leaf juice to help hydrate, soften, and improve manageability. A blend of nourishing oils including shea butter, coconut, jojoba, meadowfoam, linseed, sunflower, argan, and Abyssinian seed oil, helps smooth the hair surface, reduce frizz, and enhance shine for healthier-looking, more vibrant blue-violet hair.

Overtone is 100% vegan and cruelty-free, with Leaping Bunny and PETA certifications.

After shampooing, apply evenly to wet hair where you want to enhance or refresh color, leave on for 3–5 minutes to allow pigment to deposit, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

A great fun option for a person who refuses to cover greys with “natural” colors
After years of wanting to dye my hair blue I finally did it. I didn’t want to deal with bleaching, growing hair out, etc. so this was perfect. My only frustration is figuring out how to not look like Tobias Funke during his attempts to join the blue man group after the first rinse (my solution so far is silicone dishwashing gloves). I recommend the gloves during normal washes with the color depositing conditioner, too. As the color fades it does enhance the brown of my hair, so it doesn’t look bad as it fades either.

Such a fun color!
I'm in a very dull transitional state, allowing my natural grays to grow in after years of blending them with henna and indigo. It's much more fun to use this great blue instead! It really cools down my brunette, almost to black, and the grays are a rich blue. It's more subtle indoors (people say "is your hair blue?") and in the sun it really pops. I get tons of compliments from a variety of people, including my 10 year old son and my mom! Most important, it's fun for me. I blended it with conditioner to cover all my hair without using up the whole cup in one treatment, and it gave great coverage and has lasted several weeks (I typically only shampoo once or twice a week). I'm excited to try other colors!
