Why We Made oVertone

Maegan Scarlett and Liora Dudar were in their 20s when they decided they'd had enough of the fading and constant damage that came with having vibrant hair color. Together, they created a product they had always wanted: a hair-healthy, semi-permanent alternative to dye that could both achieve and maintain head-turning hair colors — sans damage and cold showers.

CLEAN COLOR PROMISE
At Overtone, we believe in color that’s as clean as it is bold. Our Clean Color Promise means:
- 100% vegan, cruelty-free formulation
No ammonia, peroxide, or harsh chemicals - Deeply conditioning with shea butter, coconut, and avocado oils
- So you can color boldly—knowing your hair, scalp, and conscience are cared for. It’s color with integrity.

NO BLEACH, NO DAMAGE
Why bleach when you can glow without harm? Our No Bleach, No Damage ethos means:
- Vibrant pigment without the strip or burn
- Ultra-serif care—no weakening or fading
- Layer-able shades so you customize without compromise.
- Overtone delivers salon-grade color built on nourishment—not chemicals.
Say hello to bolder hues and stronger strands.
