I have dark brown hair with blondish highlights. The rose gold for brown hair took to my highlights extremely well. I applied it to dry hair and left it in a little longer than recommended - about 25 mins. I would recommend brunettes only if they are on the lighter side or have highlights. I have naturally dark brown hair and the color didn't really take to my natural colour. The highlighted parts fade out slowly after a few washes but still look really nice. I started out using the original rose gold on my highlights and the result was too subtle for my liking - likely best for SUPER light hair. I gave 4 stars for the value, just because I wish there was a little more product for the coloring conditioner. The container has a thick plastic lining on the bottom that isn't visible from the outside. It felt a little deceiving when I reached the bottom of the jar. Otherwise, the product itself is effective and gave the result I was looking for.
