How to use

  1. Set bowl on a flat surface and add your hair color(s)
  2. Use the Color Brush to mix color and/or products thoroughly
  3. Section hair into 4-6 sections using the pointed end of the Tint Brush
  4. Grab color with bristles and apply to hair using firm, even strokes from roots to ends
  5. Rinse your brush and bowl thoroughly and air dry to live your best, most colorful life

PRO TIP: If using mixing bowl for The Bleach, make sure to mix up smaller portions at a 1:2 bleach powder to developer cream ratio. This allows for better product consistency when applying The Bleach to hair. Bleach powder will also expand when mixed with developer, so make sure not to overfill your mixing bowl!

    Use brush better coverage

    I used brush to apply magenta majesty on both wet and dry hair. Color still deposited on wet hair - my silver hair turned pink. On dry hair - color was what I wanted a dark pink. The magenta strips looks pretty on my burgundy starting point.

    A Game-Changer for DIY Hair Color

    I recently picked up the Overtone Color Mixing Bowl and Brush Kit, and it’s honestly been a game-changer for my at-home coloring. The bowl has a rubber base that keeps it from slipping all over my counter, which is super helpful, especially when I’m multitasking. I also love the measurement lines inside the bowl – they make it so much easier to mix the right amount of color without guessing.

    The brush that comes with the kit is really nice too. The bristles are soft but firm enough to get the color exactly where I want it, and the pointed handle makes sectioning my hair a breeze. Clean-up is easy—just a quick wash with warm water and it’s ready for the next use. Plus, I feel good about using it because it’s made from eco-friendly materials.
