I usually order extreme purple (now Vivid Violet) and I’ve been using it for years on my light/medium brown hair with a lot of greys. But I ordered the wrong purple last time by mistake. Still fine, just not as bold on my hair. I wanted to use it up before ordering more but I thought I’d give my hair a boost with some violet boxed dye. Unfortunately, the box I got was defective and my hair ended up a warm brick red. Exactly the worst color for my complexion. I immediately went online and bought the Vivid Violet and tried desperately to at least tone it with what I had while I waited for my delivery. And it got close to violet. Still a little too red for my taste. Well, my Vivid Violet arrived today and I put it on immediately. Twenty minutes later and hair (and balance of the universe) restored. I’ve tried other brands over the years but nothing gives me the bold, happy purple that Overtone does.
