Love love love!

I dyed my hair in August and ordered my first ruby overtone kit in September- my hair is still looking freshly dyed in January when I haven’t used anything except the overtone system once every other week!!!

Lots of upkeep, but good results

I am quite pleased with how my hair feels after I use either the daily or weekly treatments. Soft, silky and smooth. I wish you would actually premix these custom shades so I could get more consistent results. Every time I use this product the results are different, which is frustrating. I also wish there were other scent options, as I am not a huge fan of my hair smelling like toothpaste. Finally, the cost is somewhat steep by comparison to other color-depositing products, especially considering it take almost half a container of the deep treatment for each use (I have shoulder-length, thick hair).

Nice mix, but way more red than purple

When I do custom colors, I outright mix the two. I have an old, empty tub of GoDeep for mixing. I measured out the red and purple on a scale to make sure I got an exact 50/50 mix. I then applied this over platinum blonde hair. While I do like the results, I was hoping this would come out more of a wine color (maroon-ish with purple tones). Instead, my hair is just a dark red with some orange undertones (like the lighter portions of the hair sample picture above). I'm now thinking I should have gone with the Merlot kit as I now doubt that one would turn out as purple as pictured. It seems the red is definitely the dominant color.

Love oVertone though! My hair has been 5 different colors so far and I've used nothing but oVertone for all of them. I have loved every bit!
