The Sunset Hair Coloring Process introduces a vibrant and captivating trend in hairstyling, where individuals can achieve a breathtaking and bright sunset-inspired look.
This innovative technique involves a blend of warm and cool tones, creating a mesmerizing gradient reminiscent of the picturesque hues that illuminate the sky during sunset.
The process allows for customization based on individual preferences, with options ranging from subtle pastel sunset hair for a soft and ethereal effect to more intense sunset hair colors that make a bold and striking statement.
Here's what you'll need:
- Two mixing brushes and two mixing bowls (check out the oVertone Color Mixing Bowl and Brush Kit)
- Extreme Magenta, Extreme Yellow, Pastel Pink, The Remedy
Split, Open, and Melt
Step 1
Mix your colors. For the custom magenta color, @jessicaphillips_hair added 1 part Extreme Magenta and 1 part Pastel Pink to the first mixing bowl. She added 1 part Extreme Magenta, 1 part The Remedy (to dilute), and a small scoop of Extreme Yellow to a separate mixing bowl for the custom peach color.
Step 2
On clean, dry hair, section hair into the different color-blocked areas and begin to add color.
Step 3
Apply Extreme Magenta to small sections of hair framing the face to create a money piece, starting at the roots and working your way to the ends.
Step 4
Use the custom magenta color to create a small vertical color block behind the money piece. Repeat with the custom peach color to create small vertical color block sections in the back, and pull that color down to the ends to create a “melting” effect.
Srep 5
Go back in with the custom magenta color and use your fingers to blend the magenta into the peach to create the sunset color melt.
Step 6
Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to make your sunset hair color bright.
Step 7
Wash, style, and reveal. And most importantly, enjoy the results.
