@lulustone_ x Orange for Brown Hair
Sure, trying something new can sometimes be nerve-racking, but trying something new that’s easy, vegan, and cruelty-free?
That’s a “risk” we’re willing to take.
Lulu Stone (@lulustone_) was nervous about the results that Orange for Brown Hair would have on her curls. But (spoiler alert) it turns out that her hair looks amazing, and that it was just as easy as… putting conditioner on her head. When it comes to achieving the hair color of your dreams, it really can just be easy.
While Lulu’s hair color journey had a beautiful ending, there’s no reason yours can’t, too, if you follow her advice. It’s so easy to apply this color-depositing conditioner, you could probably do it with your eyes closed (but we don’t recommend it).

When was the first time you used oVertone?
I first used oVertone 2 years ago. I did a mixture of Vibrant Pink and Vibrant Orange.
What were you most nervous about before you used it?
I was most nervous about damaging my hair as I was new to hair colouring and didn’t want to cause my hair any harm.
Did anything surprise you during your first application?
How easy it was to do. Super quick to apply by myself, there was nothing complicated about the process and my hair felt super soft and moisturized.
How did your results turn out?
Amazing! Absolutely loved how vibrant my hair turned out. I was skeptical about the results as I had brown hair but it took really well to my hair and had the most gorgeous results.
Is there anything you would have done differently?
I think the results were perfect for what I was wanting at the time but if I wanted the colour to be even more intense I’d leave it on for longer.
What was your favorite and least favorite part about the process?
First time I used it I didn’t use gloves so my hands were stained for a while so I know to use gloves next time!
My favourite part is when it comes to rinsing it out and you can see the colour and anticipate what your hair looks like- makes me super excited to see the final results.
What sets oVertone apart from other hair coloring products used?
I love oVertone because of its ease of use. It’s just like using a conditioner in my hair so it doesn’t feel harmful. It has no nasties in it and is vegan but still able to achieve amazing results which is why it’s my go-to for hair colouring. So many different options to choose from, too!
How does your hair contribute to your identity?
My hair is a massive part of my identity. I always struggled with my hair growing up so now I’ve learned to love it, it’s become a massive part of me and my look.
What is the #1 piece of advice you would give first time oVertone users?
Just go for it! You can go easy at first and build up if you love it and want more or you can wash it out if you decide the colour isn’t for you. Either way it’s super fun to experiment with hair colour and know that you’re not doing any damage to your hair!
If seeing Lulu’s before and after photos didn’t convince you to try Orange for Brown Hair, we think her advice will: just go for it! With semi-permanent, non-damaging, ultra-hydrating coloring conditioner, it couldn’t be easier to switch up your look whenever you want.
Think Orange for Brown Hair is for you? We couldn’t agree more.
