How-to: Transition to a New Color Using Bleach
Summer is here and the search for this season's hottest hair colors is on. A full head of poppin' hot pink dimension, an ode to Gemini hair with a two-tone purple money piece, or maybe a multi-color balayage?
No matter what the vibe, there are more options than ever if you want to experiment with darker shades, lighter hues, or land somewhere in the middle.
Although oVertone Coloring Conditioners don’t require bleach to add a cool new shade to your tresses, adding a fantasy color to your hair may require a little bit of lightening first for a truer color result.
If you’re looking to color with a lighter shade than your current hair level, you’ll want to start with oVertone’s new product, The Bleach 30 Volume Hair Lightening System, to give your hair a burst of lift before you reach for your dream color.
Watch @alineh_a use The Bleach 30 Volume Hair Lightening System to amp up her perfect base in this step-by-step blonde-to-fantasy color transformation!

STEP 01:
Wearing gloves, add The Bleach powder (1 part) and developer (2 parts) to the mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly.
STEP 02:
Section hair. @alineh_a sectioned the hair at the crown of her head from the sides so she could target her overgrown roots.
STEP 03:
Using the mixing brush, apply The Bleach to small sections starting at the top and working your way down.
NOTE: FOR LONGER HAIR, SAVE YOUR ROOTS FOR LAST!
STEP 04:
Fully saturate your strands to ensure full coverage and even lightening.
STEP 05:
Wait 35 minutes (max. 40) to let The Bleach do its thing. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm or cool water.
