How-to: Icy Blonde Hair With Smoky Purple
Icy hair is having a moment. We're talking cool, ashy hues that range from natural (think icy blonde) to the more fantasy range (like icy blue, etc.).
One way to score this must-have look is with our Smoky Purple Coloring Conditioner from the new Smoky Hues trio. This vegan, semi-permanent, and cruetly-free hair color gives you those cool, icy hair hues with a kiss of etheral lavender tones.
Take for instance this purple icy hair transformation by @jesslemostester that we're simply obsessed with. Jess starts with pre-lightened, ultra-light blonde hair with warm, yellow undertones. The cool, ashy tones from Smoky Purple help cancel out the existing warmth and create a beautiful multidimensional hue.
Watch as Jess cools off her shoulder-grazing lob haircut with a kaleidoscope of chilly muted purple and gray hair colors.
WHAT YOU NEED:
STEP 01: Section off dry hair. @jesslemostester clipped up the top of her hair into small sections to start from bottom. To keep your clothing mess free, now's the time to put on your Eco Coloring Cape.
STEP 02: Put on your Reusable Gloves to keep your hands free of unwanted color.
STEP 03: Apply the color using your hands or the Tint Brush. @jesslemostester works the color from root to tip with her hands.
STEP 04: Make sure your hair is thoroughly saturated for even color coverage and repeat throughout.
STEP 05: Let the color sit for 10-15 minutes.
STEP 06: Wash, style, and reveal. And most importantly, enjoy your icy results!
AFTERCARE & MAINTENANCE:
