How to Get the Perfect Pastel Hue This Spring
It’s Pastel season and we’ve put together a quick and easy guide to achieving and maintaining the soft, gorgeous, spring-inspired shade you’ve been dreaming of.
To pre-lighten or not to pre-lighten?
Unless your hair is naturally light blonde, then the answer is yes. Your hair will need to be pre-lightened in order for a Pastel shade to show up on your mane.
Pastel Coloring Conditioners conditioners are the least pigmented of all our shades. This means that they’ll show truest color on pre-lightened or naturally light blonde hair — the closer you are to platinum, the more color payoff you’ll see. You may achieve a slight tint on medium-blonde hair, but on anything darker, Pastels won’t visibly change your color.
Let’s be real: the process of lightening will always damage hair at least slightly. This is why we ALWAYS recommend seeing a stylist instead of doing an at-home bleach job — if you’re committed to going lighter, a professional will know how to get you there as safely as possible!
If your strands feel dried out after they’ve been lightened, oVertone will help them bounce back!
Our Coloring Conditioners are made with nourishing, vegan and cruelty-free ingredients like shea butter and coconut oil to hydrate and restore every hair type and texture. That means our shades will heal your hair as you color, all in one easy step!
